Open File/Import... buttons not responding - please help

Hi everybody

I've got a problem with Open File and Import... buttons in VB2012. When I click them a loading pointer appears for 1/2 second and nothing happens. It looks like the program doesn't cooperate with Windows.

I've tried to repair it from install file, restore default settings, update Java and still nothing. Others programs don't have such problems.

First time (few days ago) I imported one image, but later nothing happened after clicking these buttons...

Where in the program are you finding this Open File and Import? Is this in VS2012 itself? If so, then why are you using VS2012 in the first place? After all, I felt that was kind of a low-point in the arc of Visual Studio. It came after the excellent VS2010 version and added nothing but ugly. The 2013 release was a decided improvement. The 2015 release added lots of features, but, unfortunately, also appears to have added a fair number of bugs, so I can't say that 2015 is really an improvement, at this point.

Just to rule out the simple things: These both bring up dialog boxes. It's not possible that they are showing up somewhere offscreen or behind other things, right? That should be easy enough to confirm, because they'd be modal dialog boxes, so you wouldn't be able to interact with the UI at all until you dealt with them.

Nope, they don't show at all, I've checked it few times.

I reinstalled VB2012 and 1st time run - everything worked as it should, 2nd time it doesn't work again...
