I really hate those arrogant ads that try to look like windows.

And you can turn off GIF animation this way:

You know what is really driving nuts, is some stupid spam mail is getting redirected to my email address. This site called jesterbox.com is sending out these mass mailers, and people are clicking on the "Remove my name from the list" link or whatever, and I am getting the "Remove" message.

And I don't know how to stop it.

BTW, there is a legal definition for spam, and (in the US at least) there are laws governing it. Specifically, they must grant "remove" requests, or face a fine.

On the contrary, that's the reason I'm here. My girlfriend and I are side-by-side...she's running photoshop and quark...and I'm running vbforums.com and Winamp. Life is good: got computer, got girl.

You may have the better end of the deal. I'm going blind on the 13" monitor on my junky win98 machine, while my girl is zipping along on my 17" super-nice RAM-laden win2k machine doing her graphic design. I can't wait for her to get her new mac...or for my backordered IBM thinkpad to get here.
