Tablet with Android and Windows 10 or surface pro 4
Tablet 10"
Win 10 is about 4.5GB
Android is about 2.5GB
Plus other Apps needed
So a minimum of 32GB-64GB
or, surface pro 4
Looking for a tool to view networks, the basic Browser is fine
Sometimes I need to scan the network, a few times a year, then I need some Windows scanning programs.
and I am usually on a ladder 15 feet up
Tablet 10" $250 + Win 10 ($200?)
Pro $800?
Thoughts, Ideas ?
Thanks

The only Surface that cheap is the low end one. Does that have enough?
Between those two is a pretty big. One will run every Windows app, including things like VS, while the other will run Android apps. Those are largely different constellations, and that's the major distinction that I can see.

Re: Tablet with Android and Windows 10 or surface pro 4
Been mulling over something for my daughter (1st year in high school). I too was looking at the Surface Pros because I wanted a lightweight system that can use a pen for taking math notes. The cost of the Pros is significant. I am looking at alternatives and among consideration is a Win 10 laptop, ~10-11 ish screen that can flip & a touchscreen. Cost savings can be quite large, but weight is a major tradeoff. Maybe another option for you? I still haven't made up my mind & this decision is postponing an xmas present for her

Re: Tablet with Android and Windows 10 or surface pro 4
I carried a Surface Pro 2 on a month long bike ride. It's a pretty awesome device. I was going to get the 4 pro, but decided to put it off for a few more months. It is a better system than the 2 Pro, as it has a better screen, better graphics, FAR better keyboard (you can actually type normally on the new one), and is lighter (which matters to somebody carrying it on a bike or a back). On the other hand, I did the trip, so my need isn't as present, and the 2 Pro is still working well.
They're great devices, but the price is pretty painful. Top of the line hardware for top of the line (or a bit more) cost.
