I am huge yet small.
Smallest planet but bigger than a house
I am a dog yet not a dog.
Pluto was a cartoon dog
I am last yet sometimes not.
Pluto sometimes crosses inside Neptune's orbit
I am a god yet not.
Pluto was a Roman god but not a greek (or vice versa)

YES!!!
Beach has to have it right this time.
Damn, I didn't even think of that.
It was the sometimes last and sometimes that I didn't get with regards to Sirius, but it makes sense with Pluto 'cos of the cross with Neptunes orbit.
Damn, outsmarted by a Bum!

I gave the riddle to the Review Department
I am huge yet small.
I am a dog yet not a dog.
I am last yet sometimes not.
I am a god yet not.
And they came up with the answer "Shepherd/Shepard"
with the obvious correlations of
BigMaleHuman vs SmallBorderCollie
a shepard dog (german) vs a human herder of sheep
the shepherd animal will sometimes work as the leader of the sheep herd entering the paddock, sometimes as a follower moving the sheep along.
The German Shepard has never been considered a god (as opposed to cats, for instance), but the analogy of Christ as a shepherd is ubiquitous.
A good answer, but by adding a 5th line: "I am not bound by any human language", it preserves the Pluto answer.
I still thought it a good attempt
