    DX7 and avi

Is there a way I can get DX7 to play *.avi movie files?

yes there is a way. You need DirectMedia, which is not really possible easy to do from VB luckily someone wrote a dll that makes it possible to do it from VB.
It has some disadvantages, because you can't really control it that well, but you can play!

Well I got to search for that again, but I think I will find it either on my harddisk or my links.
Just have a little patience with me.

    Cool Look at That!

It's the Demo that comes with DirectX8, it play avi, mp3 and a bunch of others files.

Even if the avi si compress with an other codec (example divx) it will work! (I've try it with divx but not with others codec)

I hope this sample will help you!
