Mad
I am pissed. Here's why. Maybe it's your fault:

My post count does indicate at least a shred of knowledge. I have written two programs as professionally as I can. I am working on a third. I am employed at a large company for the second year in a row developing with a team of professional Java programmers. And I'm 16.
I post meaningless crap, do I?

Wanna know why each of these has the emoticon? Because each one has "thanks" in it as well because the poster appreciated my help.
I realize people like Bonker and aknisely are usually just joking. But it is starting to grate on my nerves. Show me a little respect, I show you some.
I am under a s***load of stress. I'm going into my senior year of high school, taking the SAT and Computer Science AP tests, contacting colleges, being an editor for our monthly new show, and hoping for a GF. If you are 17, you know what this is like. If you're not, damn are you in for a shock.
If you hate them, you won't mind losing all but 100 will you?? Carry on just as you are, and that will happen.

Does it really bother you that filbert has a (slightly) inflated post count?

no, had he earned the majority of them legitimately.
Not all mine are legit, but most are.
Like I said, he will eventually loose them all if he carries on, I'm telling him this for his own good.

Chris: Did you even READ those first several links I posted? Wouldn't you say "You're welcome" if you helped somebody? Or are you just a rude arrogant a**h*** like you are implying that I should be?

You don't say you're welcome. You say Thank you if someone helped you. That's it.

I have had conversations with the mods. They don't care about stupid trivial stuff like that. Most of their time is taken up by reading reported posts, deleting and editing threads, and the like. Who cares if I have some posts saying "You're welcome?"

Can't we all just get along? Ignore the ****ing post counter!
I only pay attention to my total posts
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

I need a drink, you people are too wound up about such things. There are people starving in this world, and you think you can spend all your time thinking about your post counters. Jeez, kids today...

Well symbols don't bother me that much, the ICQ-style conversations in General do
I'm telling you, once and for all no further correspondence to be entered into, that you WILL lose a lot. It HAS happened before.
Do what you will with that information.

Well, I don't use ICQ, AIM, MSN, or any real-time chat, so I don't understand what you mean.

Then get real-time chat. I don't know anyone who doesn't, notwithstanding you.

I am usually not at the same computer all the time. And since I am at work, they probably won't appreciate me dumping AIM on several computers. (Ironic, isn't it?)

While you do offer help, you also seem to be just posting anywhere you could. I've seen many posts from you that seem to serve absolutely no purpose but just to sit there.
The fact that you have a high postcount and that you're 16 means nothing. People attach too much meaning to postcounts and ages and it bothers me. A high postcound just means you posted lots of stuff, but it says nothing about the content of those posts. And as far as age is concerned, being young does have advantages, and older people also have their own advantages. Younger people are easier to teach and find it easier to learn, and older people tend to have more experience behind them. Being younger does not necessarily make things harder for you. In fact, it may even make them easier.
