I have a animated gif on my computer.
NOW it doesn`t work. Does it have to be opened in a specific program to work?

If you want to see the animation, open it in IE or Netscape. They don't animate in Photoshop or Paint.

K.. thats what i was thinking..
but when I go to IE, open... go to the folder...
it opens in Microsoft Photo Editir..
What gives?

Select it, then Shift-Right click it, select Open With, and select Internet Explorer.

run regedit and goto HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/.gif/
(Default) value points to it, you can change it to point to IExplorer

yeah what did you think? 2k/XP sucks at file association, besides messing in the registry is fun

Ignore them and do this: select the file in question, hold down the shift key and right-click it, select Open With, select IE and check the checkbox, and hit OK.

Guy.. you already sugested that.
Question though.. why is that function available in Win2K..
I just went to the control panel and found the association with file att. and the registry.. Kinda cool, because i learned something.
