couple of general Access Questions
Hi all,
I've been asked to write an Access97 database project, and have no idea how much to charge. I realise that all databases are different sizes & they differ a lot, but can anyone steer me in the right direction for a general charge (for maybe a 1 table 1 form 1 module program) ?, or any examples or anything that would give me an idea of costing please ?
Thanks
Also, which online companies does everyone use to buy software, as I can't find a 97 copy of office anywhere
Thanks again !

A rough guide is to charge £30 an hour. A consultancy will charge £400 a day for Access work, so its roughly the market rate.
As for the cost of Access, as the company will need it, buy it and add that to the development cost.
Make sure you agree this along with a development timescale and deliverables at the start. Don't forget you may need to deliver documentation, install disks and terstscripts and results at the end. Don't underestimate the time required for testing when supplying software for commercial purposes.
