lol are you guys kidding ? This possibility is not farfetched at all. In fact, it has already happened. See: Tokyo man marries video game character.

This world has truly gone mad.

C++ programmers will dismiss you as a cretinous simpleton for your inability to keep track of pointers chained 6 levels deep and Java programmers will pillory you for buying into the evils of Microsoft. Meanwhile C# programmers will get paid just a little bit more than you for writing exactly the same code and VB6 programmers will continue to whitter on about "footprints". - FunkyDexter

They awarded homosexuals the right to get married, how long do you think before these other weirdos start to lobby for the right to marry their toasters....

Why would anyone be surprised by this. This was a clearly going to happen sooner or later. Just look at all the most recent TV dramas, they always feature some drama between a couple of fairies, something that was thankfully non-existent just a few years ago. The American mainstream media has been preparing the world for this for quite some time now.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care what two fruit cakes do in their private life. I strongly believe that people should be totally free to do whatever makes them happy as long as they don't hurt someone else. I'll even be willing to defend that right for them. What I have a problem with is the powers that be saying that I should like these alternative lifestyles and embrace and encourage it and then proceed to spam me with it through use of their media influence. Just because I'm indifferent to what pillow biters want to do behind closed doors doesn't mean I want to see it or know about it.

Re: Supreme Court Declares Same-Sex Marriage Legal In All 50 States

It doesn't matter, unless a marriage is changed to be a contract between two people that only requires the consent of one of the two. If that were the case, dogs and toasters would be WAAAAAAY down the list of objects I'd be trying to marry. Some total hotties would edge them out, though if they didn't have to agree to the marriage, I'd probably have to be quick before the line got too long.

That's what's wrong with the argument. All that silliness happens only if marriage doesn't require the consent of both parties.
