[Excel] Autohide of userform1 is not hiding the form
Want to add a screen tip to a button in Excel VBA.
I hover over the button and the userform1 shows but the timer does not remove it 2 seconds later. I have to click on the X to remove it.
What might I be doing wrong?
Private Sub CommandButton1_MouseMove(ByVal Button As Integer, ByVal Shift As Integer, ByVal X As Single, ByVal Y As Single)
UserForm1.Show
End Sub
Private Sub Userform1_Activate()
Application.OnTime Now + _
TimeValue("00:00:12"), "Kill_Form"
End Sub
Sub Kill_Form()
UserForm1.Hide
End Sub

Re: [Excel] Autohide of userform1 is not hiding the form
it will not work if kill_form procedure is in the code module for the userform, try moving to a standard module
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next
dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part
come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed
