Socket A, or Slot A?
I've been wanting to build a new computer for quite a while, and I'm trying to decide whether to get a Socket A or a Slot A processor(AMD Athlon 1.4ghz)
I thought Socket A was better, but then I looked through the list of AMD recomended mother boards, and I saw this:
* Refers to the new slot A AMD Athlon™ processor featuring performance-enhancing cache memory.

I agree socket A is the choice.
when they did slot A it was the greats thing to ever come, but as time went on it was the stupids thing they did. they are now going back to the sockets the Slot is on it's way out.
