    Data Base question

    i am new too database

    i wanna make a database on my nas server so all of thoose who have my program and are connectet to the nas server can store the data on it and edit it througth the program

    my question is. it is just a local database? or what type of database do i need for that and how do i getting it connected too all the programs?

    Can your nas server run applications like SQL? How much data are you looking to store? How will you be accessing this, over the network or internet?

    yes is alredy running a SQL (but is not something that i have instaled up) i want to store probaly around 2-5gb and i will accesing it over network

    Take a look at the database tutorials on the forum here

    Click the link that says - VB.Net (VB2002 and later), and it will take you to a post with a bunch of links to Tutorials. Probably best to start with the first one - An Introduction to ADO.NET ( Tutorial )
