Clickonce Deploy/Install missing desktop shortcut
Hi,
I have my app all completed and have done a test deployment (Clickonce to Dropbox) to my laptop, All is working as intended, updates are working as intended.
I am letting a friend test my app for me. He went to the dropbox link I gave him, the download went as expected, the install went as expected, the app opened as intended.
However
I noticed that there was no desktop shortcut created. When the app closed I could not find it to manually create a shortcut.
I do notice an icon on the desktop that has Tenant Tracker 2015.appref-ms
What did I do wrong in my deployment? Is there a setting I am missing?
THANKS
LB

Re: Clickonce Deploy/Install missing desktop shortcut
I am not on a windows PC at the moment so I cannot look up the feature.
I think that in Deploy under Options | Manifest? there is a checkbox for create desktop shortcut.

Re: Clickonce Deploy/Install missing desktop shortcut
Anyon have any suggestions?
For this one pc I have to remote into it, save off my database file, un=install my app, install the updated app again from my dropbox location, finally re-load my database. It creates a desktop shortcut called: Tenant Tracker 2015.appref-ms however doubleclicking it does nothing. I end up navigation to where the app installed in the users directory and creating a shortcut manually.
Its really causing me alot of grief not being able to push updates down to this one PC.
Thanks
LB
