Because that's how the OC rolls...

San Berdoo's been getting snow for weeks... OC is a bit behind the times there.
I see it's also for just an hour. Oh, just because it snows, doesn't mean it'll stick, or even hit the ground. I remember on year it "snowed" ... the flakes drifted down until about 2 feet above the ground, where it melted, and vaporized...

I don't expect it to stay for long. But it would be awesome if it at least made landfall. I haven't been in the snow in a few years so it will be kinda fun. Then I will get too cold and go back inside.

    Re: Snow in Orange County?

Originally. Lived in Rancho Cuca, right at the base of Cajon Pass.
Before I went into the military and left the state, I worked at DLand a couple summers.
But for all the years I lived out there, I never went skiing at Big Bear or Baldy. All my skiing was up at Mammoth (worked there too), the Sierra Nevadas, or in Utah.... go figure.

We lived right at the base of Baldy, top of the foothills. Back in High School, every once in a while some enterprising person would take their truck up the hill to the snow lines, fill it with snow, drag it back down, and dump it out on the school's front lawn. There have been quite the few snowball fights in class.

Ah very well. I despise the Cajon Pass very much. Have driven through there a few times in heavy rain, in heavy fog, and both. It sucks mostly because other people suck at driving.

I have never been skiing or snowboarding at all.

It's actually a half-way decent movie. Probably has to do with the fact that the Eiger Mountain is in the Bernese Alps in Switzerland.

Those 70s action flicks were generally pretty good IMO. They were far less formulaic than they are today and some of the actors could actually act.

Out here, 50% means that the precipitation will make it 50% of the way to the ground. We are in an odd weather pocket, tucked between two mountain ranges that tend to extract the moisture for themselves....the greedy bastards.

    Re: Snow in Orange County?

warm sunny. Yes. Not too hot. Not too cold.

I have no control of the climate in my office at work. It comes and and off as it wishes. For the last week I have had to deal with an endless cycle of 5 minutes of cold AC switched to 5 minutes of heat. Its attempting to keep the temperature between two set points, but its not doing it effectively. Instead of just turning off the air or the heat, it turns the opposite on to keep it set. Its annoying.

So California hasn't cracked off and slid into the ocean yet I see.

Low 30s, but up near 50 at 6,000 feet, which is more than 3,000 feet above me. Unfortunately, that warmer reading was taken at the ski area. That's not really the way you want it.
