    Suggestion: Linking Threads

    From time to time, users post the same request in two or more sections. I myself think this is OK. They're more likely to get their answers that way.

    Though I do think it would be handy if the user, or moderators, could link two or more theads together.
    It would necessarily do much, but at the top of each thread could be something saying that this thread is linked with another, or vice versa.

    That way when replying people could check the other replies first etc...

    ... just an idea

    Moderators can always merge two threads, but probably the best thing is to just link from one thread to another using the [url] tags, and stop talking in one of the threads and continue all conversation in the other.

    Well yeah thats what would normally happen, but if the people dont know there is another thread in progress, then it would be rather difficult for people to keep track.

    I didnt know moderators could merge threads though ... maybe a variation on this could be useful ...
