    Exclamation MFC Developers Needed...

    Hi,

We're currently looking for MFC developers (preferably with OGL/D3D knowledge) to work with an already influential team in a highly rewarding games project.

Edit4o7 is the unofficial world editor for the IOI game Hitman: Codename47 (www.3dactionplanet.com/hitman47). You will assist the team in it's construction of the editor and interact fully with it's many fans and followers.

Edit4o7 is due for release with Hitman 2 in April, which will be shipped around the world, providing a great opportunity to get noticed and something for your resume

For more information check out our web site and the game developers web site:

    Edit4o7: www.psycheproductions.com/edit4o7/
    IOI: www.ioi.dk

If you feel you can help our team, please forward some details about yourself and your skills to [email protected] - or pop into our IRC channel on DALnet (23:00 - 03:00 GMT everynight) (#edit4o7) for a Q+A.

    Thanks

And what a bloody good engine it is too

*nods in appreciation to Jon for his support *

MFC isn't really what you'd use for a game, although the first Unreal editor was written in VB *smirk* You'd be surprised just how easy it is to program using the API

I think i have caused some confusion. Firstly, we are not writing a game in MFC - we're writing a windows based editor. Our first language choice was Visual Basic, however, C++, MFC, OGL/D3D were the routes for us.

I don't want to start some flame war between MFC and VB, we simply choose MFC over VB because it was the language that we had more knowledge in.

Secondly, this is indeed a C and C++ area of vbforums.com - perhaps a silly place to post a MFC related topic, but C and C++ to my knowledge have a considerably amount to do with MFC...

Anyways, if you can help, please drop us a line

MFC isn't a language. It's a class library for people that are incredibly lazy

Why can't you just do it the normal way? You'll have a much smaller, faster program, and your users will thank you for it.

PS: MFC over VB is a pointless comparison.
