IE bug
IE 5 (and even 6) bug:
I am running IE6 (and before it IE5 which had the same problem) on a Dell OptiPlex GX110 (P3-something with 256 MB of RAM on Windows 2000). Right-clicking on a page to view source, open a link in a new window, save a picture, etc. works, but when I right-click, the popupmenu takes about 5 seconds to come up, instead of instantaniously. What's up?

I read that that was a bug and it was suppose to be fixed in the last update, but it wasn't on our work computers either. annoying little bastard isn't it.
you might see if IE has an update for Win2k. because IE is only 5.0 in win2k not 5.5. unless you have 6

Never had that problem (5.5 here).

I'm running it across the room.

well poor little guy take him outside so he can have more running room.
Ya I don't know what it is. I have talked to quite a few people and some have it and some don't. it is on all makes and models of computers too. the ones we have at work, some do it and some don't. all compaqs too. our techs are brain stupid so it will never get fixed anyways.

All I know is that it irritates the hell out of me. I tried searching the MSKB (http://support.microsoft.com/) but to no avail.

I think I get it at home too: I right-click and there is about a 1/2 sec delay. It is SOOOOOO irritating at work, where it is about 3 seconds. Arg!

The 1/2 second delay gives me just enough time to spool up the cassette recorder attached to my vic-20.
