I posted this query in the General forum but did not get a response. I tried to draw a Mandelbrot set as part of my learning curve of graphics programming, only to be disappointed at run time, by the error message "your monitor does not support palettes", (same message with Julia sets).
I haven't come across this before...whats this palettes business? Is it a monitor issue/graphics card problem???
Can anyone enlighten this learner please?
Thanks

Is this just basically telling me that I need a high colour or true colour display, or that the video driver can't handle it. I can set the display to 16 million colours, so where is the problem.
Doesn't ANYONE know???????
