    I spent money...

    ... on a ham radio for my truck. I don't have a ham licence yet... but I can operate on my work frequencies and mutual aid frequencies...

    You need a license for ham? I just go to the store and buy some. I didn't know I needed a license.

    Installed my ham radio. Yaesu FT-7900R. Installed head unit on my dash and ran the wire through the dash to under the driver seat to the transceiver. Antenna on the roof, wire ran into cab via the middle tail lamp / dome light fixture.

    Its fun installing things in my truck.
