    Smile Ctl3DRegister and ctl3d.dll

    HI
Can anyone help me understand the api Ctl3DRegister and ctl3d.dll ??
Have I got the correct idea that it is a 16 bit api?
And it is no longer suppported in Access 2000?
    Is there an equivalent?
Why do I get a run time error 48 file not found: CTL3D.DLL
When the file is in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM ???
I have looked on the net and all that I can find is stuff from the mid 90's that is all 16 bit.
    Thanks
    Michael
