    jpbtennisman's 'new' comp sucks

I was bored, looked at the page: http://66.56.133.172/system.htm

Saw the AMD logo, 1.4 Ghz *thumbs up*
Case *down*(but the case don't matter)
    motherboard *down*, A-BIT's KG7A-RAID
ram pc 1200?!?!? *double down*, pc 2400 DDR ram
ATI Radeon *throws up*; GeForce, but you knew that
Santa Cruz? *cough*, soundblaster owns(you knew that too)
IBM HD *this ****er is crazy*, Quantum FireBall(should know)
Plextor burner? 16x? I guess that's ok... i'd rather have a 24x sanyo, or TDK, etc.
    Win2000? yeah ok, that's a *thumbs up*
DVD drive, ok no x speed... but a DVD RAM drive would be better so

    he has no speakers
    DON'T FORGET THE 1000 WATT SUBWOOFER!(atleast)

    Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical Explorer too

    Total score: 5-0-2-3-10(ATI, come on!)-2-5(IBM, nigga please)-0+5-0=-13

Money doesn't fall out of my ass.

    motherboard *down*, A-BIT's KG7A-RAID

Again, money doesn't fall out of my ass

ram pc 1200?!?!? *double down*, pc 2400 DDR ram
    It's a typo you idiot, it's PC2100

ATI Radeon *throws up*; GeForce, but you knew that
If I'm not a gamer, what in hell would drive me to get a GeForce, when I could have a card that does 3x as much?

Santa Cruz? *cough*, soundblaster owns(you knew that too)
    Soundblaster does not "own".

IBM HD *this ****er is crazy*, Quantum FireBall(should know)
Quantum??I think YOU'RE Crazy! You have to be kidding me! QUANTUM SUX!

    Plextor burner? 16x? I guess that's ok... i'd rather have a 24x
    sanyo, or TDK, etc.

Yeah, Plextor burner. oh i forgot you're too poor to afford one, ok.

    Win2000? yeah ok, that's a *thumbs up*
    yep

DVD drive, ok no x speed... but a DVD RAM drive would be better
News flash smartass, DVD RAM discs don't work on DVD players. It's a 16x slotloading Pioneer.

I haven't decided on speakers and mouse.

Well, I could build the system I 'suggested' for less than $1000, much less, Probably under $700 or around it.

Not trying to be a ******* either, just you say you have a 'guide' for people to build their own computers... when your 'guide' isn't good.

Mostly a parody/get real type of thing.

Didn't know people were so emotional.

    It's not finished yet..

But PLEASE don't tell me a Quantum Fireball is better than an IBM 60GXP because you're so wrong it isn't funny!

On the dvd ram thing... I was talking about the drive, i.e. a burner, to burn DVD's. Around $300-400, I hear pioneer has a nice one.

Well, if you wanted a fast drive, you would always get a 15000 RPM ATA160 SCSI drive. =P

And IBM? IBM drives suck, sorry to say.

And yes, quantum drives aren't the best, but for the price they're better than IBM's... now a Western Digital 7200 RPM uDMA 100, well, there you go!

Last time I checked they were between $700 - $1,000

The discs are around $20 and the double sided discs are $30... I may get one eventually, but only when the discs drop to below $15 (4/8gb tapes are fairly cheap and re-usable, so if I really needed massive storage I would buy a tape drive for $200)

    of course SCSI would rule

If you knew half of anything about PCs you'd agree that IBM drives do not suck at all. Looks like you have a bit of learning to do.

you think tha tis hard core, a whole 5 people give me a break he he I can't stop laughing he he :P :P:P
he he ahhha ha hha hahah a stop it you are too funny. kid you have got some learning to do. I bet you were still in diapers when I was using a computer, IBM is over rated and their drives do suck. I have not heard of one person using IBM drives until you said something, the place I get my computer equipment said they don't sell many of them, it is all WD or Maxtor or Seagate, no IBM's. you can get 2 WD for the price of 1 IBM.

hardcore as in these guys spend all their time optimizing, case modding, overclocking, adding crazy stuff like water peltiers to take their machines totally over the edge, and upgrading every 2 months..maybe tech isn't the right word, they're just really relaly into this

not all of em, i'd say most of them don't, work at AMD

btw...i knew you worked with computer hardware in some way, you do have good opinions about this kind of stuff

    i'm 15 so i'm still learning

well if you have money to throw around like they apparently do then ya you can do that. but why???? I don't know about anybody else but when I buy a chip I would like to keep it and not blow it up.

I new a kid in college that was like that. I would always make fun of him every time he would say he would help some body with their computer and he would end up blowing it up, he was funnier than hell. oh the memories, [wipe a tear] sniff [/wipes a tear]
