My requirement is to find out if there is any local printer attached to LPT1 and if possible get its characteristics using vb.

I dont need the network printer nor the default printer nor any common dialog printer popup as I dont want to show any popups.

I just thought if there was any api or something like that tells me whats on LPT1 and whether its a local printer or network printer.
