Southern California Earthquakes
Anyone living in Southern California affected by the earthquake Friday, or any of the 100's of aftershocks?
I'm currently at work hoping the big one doesn't hit...

Re: Southern California Earthquakes
Let's see... what was the statistic I saw earlier? "There's a 97 percent chance in the next 30 years of a magnitude 6.7 or larger" ... uh huh... umm... yeah, OK.
I'm not all that worried about it, even if I lived out there. There's always aftershocks, one of which will come close to the original ... meanwhile there's also 100's of little shocks so minor that you can't feel them.

Well assume I dont die, I will be alive for the next 30 years. Which means I will have to live through it.

I think that it is safe to say that if you do not die in the next 30 years, then you will be alive for the next 30 years....unless you are not alive now...are you a computer? Or a zombie? Or a zombie computer?

Re: Southern California Earthquakes
Things are finally calming down. The epicenter was only 2-3 miles from me. Freakin loud and intense. Grabbed my grandson (was babysitting) and was out the door with the rest of my neighbors.
Stuff was falling down and glass items broke but other than some decent sized cracks in my walls, both exterior and interior, no real damage. Seen traffic lights out at intersections and bunch of water mains broke flooding intersections and one car crashed on its roof when a big boulder came down on a canyon road.
Lots of aftershocks that we all felt. First days we had several decent sized ones around 3.x - 4.x

Wow thats intense. We havent had any real damage down here besides some water main breaks and superficial damage. My house was not affected at all, luckily.

I don't know.. doesn't California tend to get overrun by radioactive giants and such too? Or was that just in the 1950s?
