Look into the Winsock Control or API for the TCP network connections, then look into the SMTP or POP3 protocols for sending/receiving email.

That is way to vague of a question, in my opinion.
Though you can check out http://www.planetsourcecode.com/ they may have what you are looking for in their archives.
