how do I create chars in a loop

I want create 60 chars with the name as:

file1, file2, file3

who can I do that easy - not declaring the each char individually!

Basically, I want to to create 60 file with the names as:

file1, file2, file3



And how do I add two chars or 1 char and 1 integer?
