Thread: I cant connect Sql Server 7 - Help

    Well
    I tryed to connect Sql Server 7 with the ado control.
    I tryed to get my connection string.
    In the properties pages , i pressed on "build"
    then in the provider tab i selected "microsoft ole db provider for sql server" - and then i moved to the connection tab.
    in there i got a problems i cant select any server name - i just see an empty Combo Box there and i dont know how to coonect even to the DB's who comes with sql server 7 (like northwild) what should i do?

    how can i connect the DB ?
    Please please reply and tell me if you got any idea

    Choose: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers

    The empty ComboBox has probably not been resolved by Microsoft. If you know the name of the Server where you have installed SQL Server, you can type that name in the Combo box and that will do the job.

    How Can i make it "resolved by Microsoft"?

    I Tryed to write there the server name - but i dont know what exacly the server name and where to find it.

    You got an idea how can i make it auto write the servers name/s is the combo box? (like u said , "resolved by Microsoft") u think i should reinstall VB or something?
    or any other idea?
