Accessing the Forums from Windows 8 'phone
I'm not sure if this is a 'Forum' problem or not.
I've recently started to use a Windows 8 'phone to browse the Forums when out and about. Whenever I try to reply to a Post using this device, the on screen keyboard pops up and then immediately pops down before I have a chance to enter anything. It doesn't happen on any other sites / Forums I visit. It makes no difference if I use 'Quick Reply' or 'Go Advanced' and it doesn't happen when I enter my Username and Password to log on - that all goes smoothly.
Any ideas?

Re: Accessing the Forums from Windows 8 'phone
I just tested on my Nokia Lumia 925 and I see the same behaviour. I also tried at vbdotnetforums_com (also a vBulletin site using v4.2.1) and saw the same behaviour. It's just the text area used for entering the post contents. Other text boxes seem to be fine. I appears that the text area loses focus when the keyboard is displayed.

There seems to be a lot of ajaxy stuff in the fancy edit box. This can be a nightmare even in some PC browsers, where the cursor/caret up and disappears even though the box still gets text when you type.
It might have something to do with the different client-side logic used for different browsers. I only see it here and at a few other sites, and never anywhere else including those using older versions of the same software.

The other forum I mentioned supports Tapatalk so I guess I'll use that there for now at least, but that's not an option here right now I don't think. I guess the workaround is to write the post in another app and copy'n'paste or else use a different browser.
