Unhappy Windows and IE are messed up

For some reason, the File Edit .... area on the menu bar are not there. I closed the window, re-opened it, still nothing, so I tried moving it, as IE/Folders have that feature to move everything around. Well, still..nothing! Anyone know what I can do?

    TIA

Is your computer on a network??

If so It may be a policy

IE has a reg entry which will hide the file and edit menus. So all those smart users out there dont get themselfs into trouble

No, just throw it away and buy new.

    These things never get resolved.

Not on a network, I looked in the Registry, I'll look again, perhaps I didn't look hard enough. If not, than..well, I think IE has that feature to repair itself, I'll use that.

Ok, what I did: Restarted Windows.
Then when I opened IE, I saw the File menu, but it wasn't where it was suppose to be, so I changed it, close the window, re-opened it, now it's all fixed.

What the hell is Windows doing to me? Making me get all annoyed .

They are missing, I don't know.

I need to post anything I can now, even if I tell Matthew Gates to toss out his computer. I was kidding of course, I think you should reboot.
