Re: Thread Starter???
I personally love it, I'm really glad that we have it. If I had to move it, I'd move it in the title bar, just right of the Date and Time.

Happy ? What does that word mean ? Is that something to eat ?
Seriously though, it's positioned badly. It should be under the user name itself. The user name, title and the "thread starter" are close together so they should have a consistent order from largest to smallest. Generally that looks better. The user name has the largest font and is bolded, followed by the "thread starter" which is smaller but bolded and then the title which has the smallest font and is not bolded.
This:
Happy
Happy
Happy
Looks better than:
Happy
Happy
Happy
The first one has a symmetrical look to it which is more aesthetically pleasing.

okay. It now is what it is.....
I've put too much time into moving it already, so I'm going to leave it as it is.
Brad!
Feel free to rep me if you like it!

Re: Thread Starter???
I just want to know if we're supposed to start using TS instead of OP now?

In other forums I visit they usually call them TS, I only visit a very few forums but it seems only here in VBF that we call them OP.

Seriously ? Every forum I've ever been to they're called OP. I have NEVER seen an OP called anything else. There are even image macros that reference the original poster as OP.

Re: Thread Starter???
Hmmmnnn... Aside from VBF I only visit mostly forums in the Philippines (motorcyclephilippines.com and tipidpc.com), perhaps it is just in our culture then to use TS here in our country.

Ah well that makes sense. As far as I know, all the forums I ever visited are American.

Re: Thread Starter???
We used "Thread Starter" because that is what was in the code that our tech person found and hacked into the forum. It doesn't sound like anyone has a super strong opinion, so I'm going to leave it as is and call this topic closed. You can call me the Thread Closer

Re: [RESOLVED] Thread Starter???
Frankly, thread starter is more clear than OP, so it's a good change.
Of course, now we need a member whose name is simply: Elliot.

That was it ? Seems a little obscure to me. Should I feel bad that I didn't know there was someone important called T.S. Eliot ?

Considering he wrote the 'book' for Cats (better known as Old Possum's Book Of Practical Cats when it was just a book) I don't think you can excuse anyone on the grounds of either of those!

Cats, isn't that the Broadway musical about a gay guy, and something about the number of minutes in a year?
