    3D Studio Max

    Possibly a little unrelated....
But anyway. I have a couple of objects all around 0,0,0.

I also have a Targeted Camera that points at 0,0,0 and rotates around the in an ellipse.

What I want to know though, is is it possible to render the view from the camera ? Because all I seem to be able to do is render from perspective....

Well yeah it does funnily enough.
I did have a gut feeling that it should be possible... at least now I know

Having said it's possible, that assumes we're talking about the same thing

A mate of mine had to build a 3D flash intro to a site using 3DS max. The camera swooped and panned through a cityscape along a predefined path. he then rendered it out through Vecta 3D. It all looked really simple but then again most of the stuff he did did.

In the top-left corner of your viewport rightclick the 'Perspective' -text, a popup menu will appear. Select Views-Camera01 and there you are

Erm to finally render you go to Rendering->Video post then do the following:

    • Add Scene Event (select Camera01)
    • Add Image Output Event (select Files->your AVI and compression)
    • Execute sequence (and the render size..)

    That's it

Or you could do this (perhaps slightly easier)

In the top-left corner of your viewport right click the 'Perspective' -text, a popup menu will appear. Select Views-Camera01

    Click Rendering -> Render

In the Time Output segment click Range
In the Render Output segment click Files... and type your desired file name then select the Quality
Then at the bottom where it says Viewport: make sure Camera01 is selected

    Finally Click Render

    Lil 3d-ish-ness

Sastraxi, if you dont have any really complex needs I can do some non-organic models/scenes like this:

-Shots from Animation I did recently-
    Pic 1
    Pic 2

    -The animation-
    Full animation (High bandwidth recommended)

    Hey Cbomb.

I am the only 3d-modeller on the project right now except from Sas who's making buildings in VRML. If you want to join the project, all you need to do is to make models and skions to, say, 60 models. There's a lot (there are 4 differewnt detail-levels on each figure. Are you good with the material editor(cause I'm not)?

    Anyways, go here:

I'm not to hot with skins type textures. But im pretty good with procedural textures, which un fortunately are no good for external games. So...I'll see what I can do. I'm giving the "Warrior of the blade" a shot. We'll see how this works out.

    [Edited]

Ok..thats not gonna work...I'll stick with non-organic. lol
