Ir
Hi
my friend has an IR port on his laptop, and he wants to know if he can control his television or VCR via his IR port on his laptop, he can find out the frequency for his television (i think) but how would he go about interfacing between the two ??
any ideas anyone ??

Monday Morning Lunatic
Perhaps monitoring everything that comes into the port and pointing the remote at it? I don't think it'll work too well because the IR port is serial :-s
