Alternative to default webbrowser control?
the default webbrowser controls with vb.net 2010 no longer seem able to function with my project.
(don't ask me why, they just won't. they stop navigating. LINK)
a webbrowser control is still the best solution for this function of the project
it frees me from having to hard code things into my program for each update where i might change my website.
does anyone know of any OTHER webbrowser controls out there?

Hmmm. See my comment on that thread.

I've been singing the praises of Awesomium for some time now and I've yet to change my mind about it. Your pet search engine will lead you there.

that is not an option. i have no budget and it's a commercial app.

Re: Alternative to default webbrowser control?
So you're not an indie developer and/or you make a vast profit?
We recognize the importance of Awesomium and want to get into the hands of as many developers as possible. That’s why we’ve made Awesomium completely free for indie developers. If your company made less than $100K in revenue last year, you qualify to use Awesomium for commercial use free-of-charge.
Half your luck.

"Independent Developer" is a subjective description.
You can argue that EA Games is an independent developer if they only use EA employees.
i'm sure, however, this isn't the intent of the Awesomium creators.
Being a new forming company and a commercial enterprise, all errors must be on the side of caution.

Indie Commercial Use Limitations
If your company ever makes more than $100k in revenue in any subsequent year while using the Free License, you must purchase a Pro License (or other commercial license) to continue using Awesomium in your application.
that works. i'll give it a go.

I'm really not sure that you could but as their revenue greatly exceeds $100k the point is somewhat moot.
EDIT: as is this post now, it seems.
