Deploying My Website

Hi guys, I think this is the right place where I should post this topic and hope you can give me some tips, comments and suggestion as my learning.

Ok so what I'm basically want to know is how to deploy my website in actual internet domain. I don't have any experience regarding this so please bare with me if I ask the right question or not. So is there a website where I can deploy my Website and do my maintenance there? Is there any fees need to for the hosting? Is it monthly or yearly? or is there any free hosting? What I need to do? What I need to edit my website or do maintenance?

Such things I want to know hope you can help me. Thank you guys in advance.

You will need to purchase a domain name and pay for a hosting service. There are free hosts and free domain services available, however they are very limited in what you can do and they typically include ads.

Payment for domain names is yearly, for a .com/.net/.org domain its typically $9.99/year (USD). Other TLD (top level domains) can be more or less than that. Hosting prices vary significantly between companies, type of server, bandwidth, disk space, etc. For a basic website you will want to go with Shared Hosting, it is the cheapest and the easiest to setup and maintain.

Depending on what language you will be developing your site in, the least you will need is notepad to develop with. The top scripting languages are PHP and .NET.

Your best bet is to just start searching some of the keywords that i used and google will lead you to everything. If you have any other questions i am more than happy to answer them.

1. You need to register domain and find hosting provider. If you use PHP, then you can find Linux hosting provider. If you use .NET and PHP together, then find windows hosting provider. Windows provider support this both feature.

2. Once you have registered your hosting and your account is ACTIVE, then you can start to upload your files via FTP to your root folder. Hmm... It is easy. Yeah, it is easy, dont worry.
