Database Planning problem with Hospital Management System
Hello,
Recently I got a project named "Hospital Management System" and it should be completed with ASP.net and SQL database. I have no enough knowledge about hospital system, department, lab etc. I don't make it big project, I need small but complete and bug free project that's why I don't include employee payroll system. How can I get entities of a hospital and then I make table and relation in SQL? Please help.
best regards
ehsan

Re: Database Planning problem with Hospital Management System
Sounds like you are trying to code a project before you know what it should do. Is this just something for your own developement, school, or is a hospital actually going to use it? What I'm trying say if this project is for more than "giggles and grins or homework" up front project requirements, specs, deliverables, etc. need considered before designing a database.

Re: Database Planning problem with Hospital Management System
That's what we would call requirements gathering... someone (or several someones) should know what they need/want the system to do... You don't just go out and design a large system like that (or even a small one... although, w/o knowing what it is supposed to do, I can't imagine this being small... but I suppose small is relative) without knowing the requirements.

thank you, but here is no client that's why I can't get help to gathering requirement. I need some necessary steps to go and I do not want to delete-create, delete-create.... the database.

If you have no client then why do you have a project?
