I don't think this problem can be solved with just a beer...
In WIN NT/2K, if one clicks Start-Run->Cmd.exe, the command-line-console will open up in the directory in which you were last browsing. Somebody here at work had his registry played with, and now it opens up in "C:\user\default\". Anyone know how to fix this?

Search your registry for "C:\user\default\"

try taking off the end back slash, and also try "user\default"

Well when you say play, Do you mean went into the registry, or used a registry tool to do this... cant you find the person who did this and knee cap him!!

they went in with regedit.
