    Reproduced the problem here using VMware Desktop Win7-SP1 x86 and sure enough it causes MSCOMCTL.OCX to not load in IDE after upgrading to IE10.
    Tried RegSvr32 elevated and no help.
    Uninstalled IE10 and it is now working OK again.
