    Disable 'MouseOver' event in IE

Is it possible to configure IE to disable the 'MouseOver' event ? I'm getting fed up with that IBM Advertisement in the top right hand corner of the VBForums Window. I always seem to hit it when trying to get to the scroll bar. I suppose I could put the address in the hosts file and map it to nothing.

Also, in much earlier versions of IE, you could right click a minimised window and it would close, currently if you do that, it maximises the window in question and then closes it. Is there a way to not have it maximise ?

I don't want to start a 'Browsers War' but do any of the other widely used Browsers allow such 'fine' control ? (i.e. I would like to decide how I see and manage pages)

Not that I know of! I think the only way to stop the advert causing problems is to disable javascript in the browser. However, some might have created a program/addon to do what you want.

    Edit:

Just found this article which tell you how to disable rollover in the different browsers.

Switch to Firefox and you can block almost anything you don't want with an add on...

every browser supports extensions, but not every one has been as extensively developed for. Firefox has the excellent Greasemonkey plugin which allows all kinds of customization even on a page by page basis. And of course ad-block software such as adblock plus allows individual page element blocking.
On the other hand, there's always scrolling with the mousewheel...
