    Windows 8: previewing picture in Metro does not work?

    Opening a picture file in Windows 8 does not work here, it just displays a blank screen as can be seen in the attachment. When I right click them and select Preview it it works but it is using the Windows Photo Viewer.

    Googling does not help, I hope someone here could enlighten me. =)

    i had a similar issue when i first installed win 8. No pictures in any of the apps were showing. Numerous updates later it fixed itself
