Should I get a job?
Should I get a job for the summer? I'm trying to save up to buy a car, but any job(part time) I get right now will only score me about $800 for the summer However, if I get a full time(8/5) job, I'll get about $1500 for the whole summer(about $200 a week)... I'll obviously have to work less when school starts in september, so I'll get paid even less...
Ever since I found out that "someone"(you all know who, if not just look at my "the 'life sucks' thread" thread) has a boyfriend, I have absolutely nothing planned for this summer... I don't really want to work... working sucks, but I don't want to sit at home all day and do nothing... That sucks too
Should I get a job, or should I just wait until next summer?
There's only really one place I can get a job at right now(if they're even accepting new people), 'cause I'm only 14, and every body is looking for >=15.. Next summer I'll almost be 16 and will probably be able to find a better job, easier....

Bastard!
I'm 20, and I have to put up with making $64 +/- a day. Of course, all I do is sort files and open mail, but it still sucks.

Dennis - get a job. It's the best place to meet women. If it's only the summer then you don't have to live with the consequences either.
That's Mr Mullet to you, you mulletless wonder.

What sort of a job are you talking about Dennis? Does it involve saying "Do you want fries with that?". Don't do it, the uniform looks absolutely disgusting.
Whose the guy everyone is taking exception to. Quick thought. Send nukem his address. There is probably still a car full of him and his mates wandering around the US searching for Virgina.

Car is just waste of money!
Why would you want to get a car with the money that you get by doing the job....Get you mom or dad's car....
I am also 15 and I worked in a socks making factory for 3 days, got fired after that I was expecting to work for the whole 2 months and upgrade my computer, and visit to my homeland in the next summer.
I was getting 7.80/h and the job was 8h/day ... The job really sucked but I needed the money!

Ideally get a job that involves leather !

What else could I spend the money on?
I could save it, but for what? I want a car...
I'm taking into consideration that suggestion about leather...... Hmmmmmm... leather is good....... But I would prefer something with a higher pay...

I guess its just useful to know that you've got it there - you can't tell me that there is *nothing* that you are going to want in the next year that you can't afford right now!
How long until you can drive?
BTW I don't think that Paul & Mike's the dressing-in-leather-and-going-out-at-night all that its cracked up to be - just look at Batman . . . (still stuck with boy wonder )
