Re: Mayan seven day forecast
Guess I'll be using my asbestos umbrella on Friday. Good to check the weather in advance.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

Re: Mayan seven day forecast
Well, will these meteors (assuming they are them) fall only on the part of the Earth towards the Sun? What is the possibility they will fall on the whole of the earth at the same time? Sounds improbable, since the Earth is round-ish, and to attack it from all sides would be a tad difficult. Sort of like a cricket ball: you can't hit it from all sides at once.
So in case the meteors do arrive, I shall be travelling to the part of the world away from the sun.

Soon the countdown will start in the east.
I wanted to say goodbye to every one of you. It was a great time with you all. I learned a lot and I hope that some of you have learned something from my little knowlege. Its a pitty however I couldn't reach the 500 posts.
I wish you all the best.

Yeah, well, in my town they are still fixing the big crater. Only I can't make out if it was caused by an asteroid or the municipal council laying pipes. But it sure was a huge crater!

They haven't covered up the craters here, for sure!
By the way are any Mayans left amongst us? They must be miserable now. They can't have any calendar, their time is up. So any time or date keeping devices are useless. I wonder if any of the Mayans use computers. Because it's going to throw up a problem much bigger than Y2K.

Yeah found the same in my place too. I woke up in the morning, went to fetch the newspaper(usually this should be done by my dog, but if I let him go and fetch it, then we would get it in pieces after he does the reading! ). And found that there is long crack along the side of road. There were lots of debris and everything and it was in a straight line making me to assume that something fell into the ground and was grinded to a few meters. I was surprised at first. Then came to the sense that it was the PWD(Public Works Department) that excavated the side portion of the road to fix an issue with the pipelines!
They did the excavation and fixing part at midnight to avoid traffic issues when excavated during day time!
They will come and dig the same portion again after two or three days. It's like the workers are trying to carryout practice sessions on the road digging again and again!! Only after a week, they would fix the issue. Then again it would take weeks or months to re-construct the road!

Re: Mayan seven day forecast
Well, now the Mayan calendar would most likely be empty, so it shouldn't take much skill to make one.
