When will I start listening to Christmas music? When I receive an ear of a family member in the mail with a message telling me that I'll receive a finger next if I don't start listening to Christmas music. Even then it may actually take receiving the finger to make me do it.

I take holidays one at a time... I decorate for Halloween, the weekend closest to Oct 1... on Nov 1 I decorate for Thanksgiving... on the Sat after Thanksgiving is when the Christmas tree goes up and I start listening to Christmas music... This year it should be interesting... this is the first year we're in our own house... and being in the south now, the weather it much much more mild than previous years, so I should be able to go nuts with the outdoor decorations....

I'll start listening to Christmas music when it starts being forced on me in every store I visit. This year I expect that to begin right around Halloween, though whether it is before or after remains to be seen.

They must have had lots of room. Normally, Halloween is such a massive sales opportunity that there isn't any room for Christmas displays until the day after. However, Christmas displays must be up before Thanksgiving.

The Halloween filled thier normal seasonal area... the Christmas are was in their just-emptied lawn and garden section... I noticed that it didn't happen again the next year.

So, does this mean that we can get you to start listening to Christmas music just by giving you the finger? Frankly, whenever I go into a store and hear Christmas music, I feel like somebody has already given me the finger.

He'd probably receive a variable "brick" undefined message.

Every year I have but one wish and that is for the Grinch to win. I'm convinced he will, but then I still think the Lions might actually win a playoff game.
The year the Grinch wins is the year I will start listening to Christmas music.
It does seem, however, that I have to dust off the "Bah Humbug" earlier and earlier with each passing year.

You have a better shot at having your wish come true than do I.
On a more positive note, the White Sox appear to be completely disinterested in the AL Central and quite content to allow the Tigers to take it......I'm good with that.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox decided to show the world that their collapse at the end of last season was no fluke.

Don't count anyone out at this early stage.
Remember last year? The Giants were on a fast train to the toilet bowl when, with a 9 & 7 record, they won the NFC East, and proceeded to rumble, stumble and bumble their way through the playoffs into the Super Bowl, and we all know how that finished up.
For the records, I am NOT a Giants fan, and Green Bay is one of my division rivals....just sayin

If the Giants continue to play like they did yesterday they won't be doing much. At least the refs seem to be making decent calls now though, yesterday there was a semi-controversial pass interference call or 3.

The refs totally blew a fumble call in the Green Bay game. Still, the difference is that you have the feeling that the mistakes are less, and equally distributed.

Christmas seems to be getting earlier every year. Pretty soon, stores will be keeping their Christmas decorations all year long.

They'd do it today if they could get the Christmas shoppers all year long.
