Hi, I have prepared a datareport in VB6, that works fine but I want to be able to alter what it shows by a user selection form.

I have tried to change the source and various other properties before entering the report but it always reverts back to the sql statement I have placed in a design time, can anyone help?

    Hi, Andy.

Do you use DataReport1.Refresh in your code?

Hi thanks for replying, No I have not used the data refresh option, but I have set up message boxes showing the source, I set the source with a new SQL Statement with a form before showing the report, the message box clearly shows the source has changed. I then show a message box whilst the report initalises and the source sql has changed back to what it was a design time. I have tried various different points of trying to change tje source SQL, and its starting to drive me crackers!

I'll give the refresh a try but I thought that just aplied to the datagrids etc.

    Hi Larissa,

Is there any way I could send you a little app showing you what I am trying to do?
