Are the kids in the forum bothering you?
I don't mean to put down anyone based on age, but there are some young teenagers in the forum who seem to be intent on demolishing the friendly environment in the forums. They cause commotion wherever they are, and are very annoying. I am not mentioning any names, but if these annoying young members wish to speak up, I will thank them for making themselves known and admitting that they do this.
Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong .

Nonsense bothers me.
About the only thing that bothers me is opinion or nonsense posted as though it is factual. There should be some standards, even in the Chit Chat forum.
I can tolerate most anything expressed as an opinion, but concepts expressed as facts should have a really high level of believability. Insults, obscenity, blashphemy, silly remarks, et cetera do not bother me.
On a few very rare occasions, I have seen misinformation posted in a technical forum. This is grounds for bringing out the rack, the testicle crusher, and the (a female should fill something in here).

Eschew obfuscation!

Compulsory nipple piercings?
I'm siding with Guv here - I'm probably the hardest person in the world to annoy, but I hate it when people are wrong and can't accept that. If they go "sorry, my fault, i'm wrong" and move on with a more accurate view, then fine. Otherwise the methods above are necessary
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

Thank you for making yourself known and admitting it. Apology accepted. Please, we don't mean anything serious. You should see some of the jabs ive made at Parksie, Dennis, Katie, Chris (hey guys ). Alot more than I did to smash and u, and it is all taken in good taste. What people hate, as Parksie said, is when someone will keep arguing a point, never back down, and press on until the other person gives up. Sometimes, one must acknowledge his mistakes and other times, people must realize that they have different opinions and just leave it at that.
Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong .

is when someone will keep arguing a point, never back down, and press on until the other person gives up.
I never give up. I'd rather die trying than let someone else win when they shouldn't.

Nope. Stubborn as a mule and then some. If you'd been in a real argument (face to face) I'm a fairly scary prospect - at 12 I made a teacher back down, which was quite impressive (and loud!)
I never let things drop, which is basically the only part of my star sign that actually fits (Cancer).

That'll explain why you still have a squeeky voice then
I agree with your point though - NEVER back down. As the saying goes - winners never quit, quitters never win (I think that's how it goes anyway)

sometimes it is best to take the fall or just admit you're wrong, even if you are right, that way the argument is over and we can get on with our lives.
can't we all just get along
If I know something, I know few and far between, and I know that I am right, I won't back down, but if I know little about the subject but put up a good arguement just to see how much the other person knows.
But it does take a lot to annoy me and those kids are doing a good job, hats off to ya kiddes, you ARE doing a good job, ANNOYING people.

Re: Am I?
Yes You ARE Annoying! You don't know when to stop saying "Oh look I am 12 so I'm better than you and younger hahhahahaha"
I'm 3 years older than you, I will admit that I am new at VB, and I'm learning. If I DO happen to know something that someone else doesn't, I don't say, "HAHAHAHA I'm just learning and I know more than you", this is not a place to have an attitude like that!
Please Stop; and stick your website in your signature and stop telling us all about it!
I'm bringing geeky back...

He's not even that good, he's been asking simple Q's in General VB all week. Most recent is how to remove vbCr's (or as he termed them "backspaces" ) from a file.
