    Embedding Data In Outlook

    Hi,

Is it possible to embed a client list into outlook so that I can populate a combobox in an addin. This would then need to be periodically updated/replaced to reflect syncronisation with a live dataset? I favor a static list rather than a db connection as live data will not always be available. If this isn't possible does anyone have any ideas for simulating the above?

Ideally I want to support back to Outlook 2000, but accept that this may need revision depending on the methods available.

    Cheers

you could use a live connection, with a backup to a local file if connection is not available, update the local list when live
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next

dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part

come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed
