So you go through all of this ***** humor (weak at that) and still don't explain why sandwhich is misspelled.
The Earl would be upset.

Government is another way to say better…than…you.
It’s like ice but no pick, a murder charge that won’t stick,
it’s like a whole other world where you can smell the food,
but you can’t touch the silverware.
Huh, what luck. Fascism you can vote for.
Humph, isn’t that sweet?
And we’re all gonna die some day, because that’s the American way

I've seen it spelled both ways. And though I'm sure it is grammaticly correct to use sandwich in America, I always thought the earldom was Sandwhich.
I'll do some more research and let you know.

The geezer who invented the sandwich was the Earl of Sandwich (Sandwich is in Kent, England) and the town nor him were spelt any other way.

There you go. I just checked a map to confirm it.
I also just found out that MapQuest only does America. Which is good in a way since it sucks.
Sandwich should go into a top ten list, since I even found a tourism site for Hawaii that talked about it being named the Sandwhich Islands and an art Gallery displaying a peice titled "Two Boys with a Sandwhich".
