Yeah, in my email to John about this thread, I actually complained about this problem. I think that most of the newer members do not even know about ChitChat. I also suggested that he appoint (a) member(s) as moderator of the General Forum, as it has been getting a bit out of hand lately.

This kids constant advertising and long signiture pisses the f*** out of me but I found it best not to post about it. He's only 13 and not worth the time and the space to create a new thread. Spetnik... stop posting crap about him and leave him alone. Maybe if we ignore him he will eventually go away

Advertising makes it unfair to the people who pay for their ads.

On the other hand, people could say they "want beta testers." this can lead to problems trying to distinguish whether people actually want beta testers, or whether they're trying to "sneak in" and advertise their software.

I really have nothing against the poor guy (although his advertisements and signature is annoying as hell), but sometimes it's fun to poke a little fun at a kid and watch him turn into Mt. St. Helens

Also, obscene refferences meant seriously (unless of course they refer to the "Throbbing Member" or Katie [and of course must only be mentioned in chit chat 0=)]) should justify the banishment and destruction of the soul of the person who makes such remarks.

Calm down guys, there is nothing serious in any of my off-topic posts (unless of course, I am bashing Microsoft). So let's all take a chill pill *gulp* (hmm, not bad) and get along.

And Megatron is definitely right that "advertising makes it unfair to the people who pay for their ads."

Now a real argument against what you are saying.

First: One of the major posts that he has been complained about advertising on is the Napster is Back thread. He did not start it with an intention to advertise, he simply stated that the new version of napster was out, then as a side note asked people to download his app. Everyone has said that he can just have it in his sig, and that is at the bottom of the post, so it is as good as in his sig. I think that you all are attacking him just because hes 13 and can't defend himself with a six figure income. Instead I think you should congradulate him, how many of you think that you could have made an app as good as his when you were 13, im 14 and i can't even come close to being able to do something like this.

BTW i know i sounded childish with all the four letter words in all my other posts, so i would like to say sorry to anyone i offended, but no one ever listens to me unless i swear a lot.

Skitchen8... I tend to help here more then I write apps unfortunitally, but I found you learn more by helping here then by actually making your own apps. Anyway, I'm a US Army Reserve (can't be Active until I'm 18) so all the programs I write are for them... I do not program for my own use.
