Sleep mode
Windows license key !
I have new laptop pre installed with windows 7 (forgot the version) and i formatted the everything , now i want to install new version :
1.Can i use the same product key that came with the laptop for the newly installed version ?
2.Is it possible to use the key for different PC ? I mean the key will be used on one PC only !

1. Yes, you can I have done this with my ASUS laptop when I stuffed up the operating system and the system backup dvds I have created would not work.
2. Not sure about this question! Why not try it and see if it works?

if its an oem key you can activate it on a different pc, however it will not automatically activate. You have to use the 800 number.

Technically, OEM licenses are not supposed to be transferred to another system. However, since the preinstalled OS uses a pre-activated version of Windows, the product key that you find on the sticker is never used for activation ---> therefore, you can use it to activate another system.
