Installation of VS 2008
I have SQL Server 2008 installed on windows 7. I want to just ask that can i install VS 2008 after SQL SERVER 2008 or I have to first remove the SQL SERVER 2008 & then first installed the VS 2008 ???

Re: Installation of VS 2008
There shouldn't be any issue. I have never had an issue with SQL Server and VS though not SQL Server 2008. Is there a particular reason you asked this question ? Are you having some kind of trouble installing them ?

Re: Installation of VS 2008
In VS 2008,on right hand side three frameworks are there on the top. When i select any framwork , my below templates remain unchanged, dats y I am thinking so that there is some problem with VS 2008 installed after the installation of SQL SERVER 2008.

Re: Installation of VS 2008
I'm confused, too. VS2008 can target three frameworks (2.0, 3.0, and 3.5), but that isn't generally described as "there on the top", and that has nothing to do with any templates that I can think of in VS.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

Re: Installation of VS 2008
There maybe some confusion here. Are we wsure we're talking about 2008 and not 2010.... I know with 2010 you can selectnthe initial target framework when creating a new project. And yes it would be "there on top" of thee New Project dialog box....

Re: Installation of VS 2008
VS2008 when you create a new project you get a window with templates that pops up at the top right is a combo to select the target framework 2 3 and 3.5
For windows applications WPF templates should show up if you choose 3 or 3.5 but not if you choose 2
I see no difference in the template list between 3 and 3.5 for windows apps
