Although it is not recommended to in stall beta software on a machine you need to rely on, I had no problems with vb6 after I installed vs.net. There is an issue with crystal reports though. The version included with vs6 is not compatible with the version included with vs.net. So if yo need crystal reports with vb6 I wouldn't install vs.net on the same machine.

Thanx for replying. I waited last night for an answer and there was no answer so i decided to install it at home. It runs fine so far. I currently do not use Crystal Reports so i do not think i will have not problems. It's a whole new monster.

Hi
Hi
I have installed Visual Studio .NET (VB.NET and VC++). And also my system is having VB6. I dont have any problem till now. Dont uninstall untill u get Visual Studio.NET Beta 2 . We can upgrade our version from Beta 1 to Beta 2 easily. Then we can go for orginal release. Because while installing Beta 1, It has updated most of our windows components that too sharable. So dont uninstall...but install and enjoy

Careful of that dll Eugene
Ok on my portable have vb5 & 6 and vb.net beta 1. All working with no problems. Be careful of extra .net dlls however, cause may need the .framework stuff to work correctly. Could cause problems if you include one in a distribution.
