    Question Code Editor (iPad2)

    Hi Everyone,

I am interested in finding a coding editor that I can use on the iPad (iPad2 if it matters), and I'm looking to for suggestions/feedback/etc. I don't want to waste my money.

Has anyone out there looked into/purchased any of the apps that are available.

This would be mainly for C++, but if it is useful for other programming that wouldn't be a bad thing.

I have found two so far that have peeked my interest, Textasic Code Editor and Koder Code Editor.

I'm interested in something I can edit and write code with, not just view.

I looking forward to your feedback.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim

Nobody is coding on an iPad2. Most of us are using the tablet to play Angry birds and check our mails.

That's too bad, because it seems like an excellent way to do a little coding, while still hanging out with the family and watching TV.

I'm not talking about doing your coding on the pad (tablet) full time, just when you need to get something done, maybe a little or maybe a lot, but you also don't want to sit at your computer and away from everyone.

Yes, a laptop give you the ability to be near everyone, but they can be cumbersome, and get hot.

Using a tablet seems like a good alternative to me, and really, you paid $600 - $800 on a tablet so you could play games???

I can use the SplashDesktop app to logon to my PC. Me personally, I got the tablet, cos the laptop was getting too heavy to lug around. No I don't code on the tablet. I use it to play games, check mails, surf the net and sometimes watch a tv show or two.
